The Vilnius Jewish Community will not remain silent while the existence of the State of Israel and the safety of the Jewish people are under threat. Today, Israel stands on the front lines of the struggle for the free world, defending not only its land but also fundamental human values against darkness and terror.
Our ancestors here in Vilnius endured the most painful lessons of history. We know the price of silence. That is why today our voice rings loud and clear: we stand with Israel and its defense forces.
No amount of aggression or threat will break the spirit of the Jewish nation. We are one family – from the streets of Vilnius to the hills of Jerusalem. We are grateful to all the people of Lithuania who, in this difficult hour, stand on the side of truth.
Light will always prevail over darkness. We will not back down.
